Billing & Services

Late Penalties and Fees

  • A late fee is accrued for payments not received by 4:30 p.m. on billing due dates. 10% of the outstanding balance will be charged as a late fee, with the minimum penalty being $12.
  • Past-due, unpaid accounts will receive a notice of disconnection for their water service.
  • Past-due, unpaid accounts that are delinquent 10 days or more will have the water service disconnected.
  • If a service order has been issued or an account has been disconnected, account balances including reconnection fees MUST be paid in full at the Water Department Billing Office, prior to reconnection.

Members may choose to register for the automatic draft program (ACH). By signing up for this service, your water payment will be withdrawn from your checking or savings account on the 15th day of each month. To obtain an online application, click here.

If you are concerned there may be a meter reading or billing error, call (479) 855-8000 option 1 or write to: BVPOA, Attn: Water Department, 51 Huntley Lane, Bella Vista, AR, 72715. This must be done no less than seven calendar days before the payment due date or disconnection date.

For Contractors & New Construction

New Home Water Service Fee

There are three fees that must be paid for each new building served by the Bella Vista Water System. The Water Capital Buy-In fee of $2,500 goes toward improving the water system to meet the needs of system growth. The Water Tap fee is $2,152 plus tax, for an average 5/8 x 3/4-inch meter. Larger meter sizes cost more, as they can exert a greater demand to the water system. Additionally, a $75 water deposit will be collected.

Installation Process for New Water Service

After all fees are paid, the Arkansas Department of Health requires an approved sewage disposal plan and written documentation, verifying that the building’s service line and plumbing were inspected by a certified local plumbing inspector and were found to be in substantial compliance with the State Plumbing Code.
