Pickleball is a fast growing sport that’s a little bit of Tennis, elements of Badminton and a dash of Ping-Pong.  Here in Bella Vista we have several courts that can be played on at different locations.  Due to the increased popularity of the sport, Bella Vista is currently adding more courts for more games and fun.

Wall of Honor

The Veterans Council of Northwest Arkansas, a 501(c)(3) organization, was formed in 2001 with the mission of honoring America’s veterans, who have contributed so much to securing the freedoms we enjoy today. The Veterans Council is responsible—through generous donations—for the construction of the Veterans Wall of Honor in Bella Vista. Visit their website.

Swimming Pools

Branchwood has an indoor swimming pool that is very popular for relaxing and aquatic exercise.

Kingsdale Complex near Riordan and Metfield have outdoor pools. Kingsdale offers an adult only pool, family pool, and small wading pool. Metfield has a family pool and separate wading pool.

Bella Vista Historical Museum

The museum’s exhibits cover the past 100+ years of Bella Vista history. The exhibits in two rooms focus on the 1915 – 1965 timeframe, from the building of Lake Bella Vista in 1915, the opening of the Linebarger Brothers’ summer resort in 1917, through the conversion of that resort by E. L. Keith into a family recreation area in 1952, with a glimpse into the activities that took place during those fifty years. A third room focuses on the 1965 – present time frame, starting with the purchase by John Cooper Sr. of Bella Vista Lake and all the farms north of the lake to the Missouri state line, which enabled him to open in 1965 the Bella Vista Village retirement community, and the evolution into the present day City of Bella Vista, which was incorporated in 2007. The museum also contains a gift shop that carries a variety of Bella Vista souvenirs and other merchandise available for purchase. Visit their website.

As a long-time Good Sam Club affiliate, this scenic park features 64 RV spaces, primitive tent camping,  picnic areas, a restroom and shower facility with a laundry area and a lounge, wireless internet service, plus access to the Blowing Springs Trails and The Back 40 Trail. Blowing Springs Park is conveniently located within a short driving distance to area attractions.

Tent and primitive camping is available in designated grassy sites. Each site includes a grassy area, camp fire ring, picnic table and parking area.

Biking and Hiking

Northwest Arkansas is known for its biking and hiking trails, many of which are in Bella Vista. The trails in Bella Vista were designed and constructed primarily for mountain biking, although use of the trails for hiking is permitted. With numerous elevation changes due to the Ozark Mountains, you can find various levels of challenging trails. But that isn’t all. We have paved walking trails available at Lake Bella Vista, Loch Lomond and Branchwood. And, bring your furry friends with you to the Loch Lomond trail as there is a dog park for their enjoyment.

Gun Range

The Highlands Gun Range is located on the far west side of Bella Vista and is set-up for both trap and skeet and rifle/pistol. It has three trap fields and two skeet fields with overlay. The 100-yard rifle range features six covered shooting benches, while the 25-yard pistol range offers covered shooting positions and a covered waiting area at the 50-yard mark.

Members and their guests are required to bring their own guns and ammunition. The Range is staffed during posted hours.
