Rifle and Pistol Range
The 100-yard rifle range features six covered shooting benches, while the 25-yard pistol range offers covered shooting positions and a covered waiting area at the 50-yard mark. Shooting at moving targets is prohibited. Only POA Members and their guests may use the Rifle and Pistol Ranges.
Each person will be required to sign an agreement and release of liability for using the gun range. Range use is limited to 2 hours and 30 minutes. All users are required to bring their firearms and the necessary ammunition.

Trap and Skeet Range
The trap and skeet range is open on Wednesdays and Saturdays. The Highlands Gun Range has three trap fields and two skeet fields with overlay. The complex is staffed by a range master. Members and their Guests are welcome to bring their own guns and ammunition, or they can rent a shotgun and purchase ammunition at the range; targets are provided for a fee through an electronic management system. No outside targets may be used on the Trap and Skeet Range.

Archery Range

The facility offers six archer bays with target placement up to 50 yards. Archers may bring their own targets or use those provided by the facility. When using facility targets, bows and crossbows must have a projectile speed under 380 feet per second, and only field points are permitted. If you are already registered with the gun range, no additional registration is required.

Class Definitions
Basic Pistol Class
This course is designed for new handgun owners and individuals interested in learning about handguns before making a purchase. Participants will gain the fundamental knowledge and skills necessary for the safe and responsible ownership and operation of a handgun. Instruction includes firearm safety, pistol parts and operation (using the participantโs handgun, if available), ammunition types, and the fundamentals of safe and accurate shooting. Classroom training utilizes non-firing handgun simulators (SIRT pistols) with reactive laser targets for hands-on learning.
The course includes approximately 2โ4 hours of classroom instruction, followed by live-fire range training. Students should bring the handgun they wish to learn with, along with ammunition for the range portion of the class. For those who do not own a handgun, a variety of firearms will be available for instructional use.
This class provides an excellent foundation for safely using the Bella Vista rifle and pistol range independently and also serves as a valuable refresher for individuals planning to qualify for an Arkansas Concealed Handgun Carry License through a separate certification course.

Regular Concealed Carry Class
Concealed carry courses are four hours of classroom time followed immediately by a live fire qualification at the pistol range.
The course is designed for those who have experience with firearms and focuses on the laws and procedures one needs to know to apply for a concealed carry permit for the state of Arkansas. This course also meets the requirements for persons that need to renew a permit with the state or transfer a permit from another state.
At the end of the course all participants will have all paperwork needed to apply with the state.
What to bring:
- A handgun and the correct ammunition for live fire qualification
- Eye and ear protection
All firearms will be checked by the range officer for safety and proper function prior to qualification.
Cost:
- $60 for POA Members (new or renewal permits)
- $75 for Guests of members (new or renewal permits)

Enhanced Concealed Carry Class
- Their own Handgun
- Equipment used to carry a handgun concealed: holster, purse, etc.
- Eye and Ear protection
- A minimum of three magazines for the handgun you will be qualifying with
- Ammunition (minimum of 100 rounds)
