The rifle and pistol range is open daily. Shooters should report directly to the range on Friday, Saturday and Sunday as there is an attendant on duty on those days. From Monday thru Thursday, a gate key must be checked out at the Branchwood Recreation Center. The 100-yard rifle range features six covered shooting benches, while the 25-yard pistol range offers covered shooting positions and a covered waiting area at the 50-yard mark. Shooting at moving targets is prohibited. Only POA Members may obtain a key for the gun range gates.
Members will be required to leave their POA Photo ID card or paper membership card at the center until they return with the key. In addition, each person will be required to sign an agreement and a release of liability in order to use the gun range. There is a 2 hour and 30 minute time limit on range use. Members that do not return keys are subject to a fine. Members are asked to lock the gate after entering or exiting the range area when the Range Master is not present. All users are required to bring their own firearms as well as the required ammunition.
