The proposed renovation was unanimously approved by the Board of Directors at their June 16th meeting. In his presentation, Tommy Lee, Director of Business Development, made it very clear that there were specific goals behind the strategy of the renovation. First and foremost, the clubhouse is in desperate need of an upgrade in both appearance and functionality. This renovation will also create a holistic experience by providing a unique space that encourages the camaraderie associated with the sport of golf. That environment does not currently exist. The “personality” of the clubhouse will now match the “personality” of the golf course. By manipulating the footprint of the Proshop, we will also create a sales environment versus just a “check-in” environment. This new space will also attract groups (and tournament planners) and provide an attractive golfing option that compliments the Lakepoint Restaurant and Event Center’s sales goals for corporate groups and retreats.
