Pickleball

Pickleball is fast growing sport that’s a little bit of Tennis, elements of badminton and a dash of ping-pong.  You’ll find that this game can be played indoor and outdoors on a modified court with net.  Here at Bella Vista, we have several courts where you can play Pickleball!

Kingsdale Tennis Center

  • 1 court
  • All welcome, beginners to seasoned pickleball players
  • Hours are Monday – Friday (8am-1pm | 4pm-8pm)
    Saturday (8am-1pm | 2pm-8pm)
    Sunday (10:30am-5:30pm)
  • Bring your own pickleball equipment
  • Call to reserve your time on the pickleball court

Pickleball Court Rules

Game Rules

  • Game is either played as doubles (two players per team) or singles (doubles is most common)
  • Serves must be from behind the baseline, diagonally and land within the confines of the opposite side
  • Both teams alternately serve, if a point is scored, server switches back & forth until fault is committed
  • Non-volley zone is the court area within 7ft on both sides of the net and faults are when a player steps or touches in a non-volley zone
  • A ball contacting any part of any line (except the non-volley zone) is considered “in”
  • Points are scored by the serving team with the game ending at 11, 15, or 21 points

Court Etiquette

  • Don’t lob behind restricted players
  • Call out the score clearly before serving
  • Meet at the net after a game (paddle high-five)
  • Ensure all players are ready before serving
  • Be encouraging and positive, congratulate good shots
  • Practice humility and good sportsmanship on the court
