Three new pieces of equipment are now at the Metfield Clubhouse fitness center for member’s use.
A Rotary Torso machine, also called a torso rotation machine, targets the muscles of your core. The rotary torso exercise machine allows you to rotate your trunk against resistance. This movement targets your side abs, or obliques. A Leg Press machine is also now available at Metfield’s fitness center. The leg press is a weight trainingexercise in which the individual pushes a weight or resistance away from them using their legs. The leg press can be used to evaluate an athlete’s overall lower body strength (from knee joint to hip). The third new piece is designed to work the inner and outer thighs. The benefit of the inner/outer-thigh machine is that it works muscles that are often neglected, and therefore imbalanced, can be specifically increased in strength and size. That can make the hip feel more secure during other leg exercises.
