Important Information Regarding Residential Trash Services

Thu, January 26, 2017 | POA News

The City of Bella Vista and Republic Services want to remind residents of a few deadlines coming up, and make sure all accounts are current.

UNPAID ACCOUNTS – Your first Republic Services issued trash bill was sent out Dec. 15. This bill was for the first quarter of 2017, January through March. If you have not paid this bill by February 15, your service will be suspended and you will be charged a $35 suspension fee. Call Republic Services at 800-431-1507 to pay your bill or pay online at https://www.republicservices.com/pay-bill.

CART EXCHANGES – The final date to exchange your larger 95-gallon trash cart for a smaller 65-gallon cart is Tuesday, Jan. 31. These carts will be delivered in February. After Jan. 31, residents are still allowed to exchange their carts for either a smaller or larger size, but a $15 exchange fee will apply. Call Republic Services by Jan. 31st to set this up.

EXTRA TRASH AND CARTS – Starting in February, drivers will only pick up the contents of the Republic-issued trash carts. Additional non-Republic carts and other bagged trash on the ground will be left where it is. You are still allowed one bulk item per week, which you should place next to your cart. Be sure to place your cart within three feet of the road, with the handle facing away from the road. If needed, additional carts are available for $2 per cart, per month.

If you have questions regarding your account, call Republic Services at 800-431-1507, or email COzarks@republicservices.com.
