Bella Vista POA Water Utility will be replacing 1700 feet of 12 inch water main along Highlands Boulevard between Queensferry Drive and Hebrides Drive (Northeastern Intersection) starting on February 6, 2017 and likely lasting until the end of March 2017. The purpose of this project is to replace a 12 inch water main that has had multiple breaks in recent history causing temporary loss of service. Travelers along Highlands Boulevard can expect a one lane road while water utility crews are on site replacing this water main. Signs and flaggers will be utilized to help travelers navigate through this area. People traveling along Highlands Boulevard may choose to detour around Evanton Drive if they wish to avoid this construction. This detour is optional and not mandatory.
On February 6, 2017, it will be necessary for Bella Vista POA Water Utility crews to install valves to properly isolate this section of line for replacement. Some residents will experience a temporary loss of water service. This includes customers on Queensferry Drive, Hebrides Drive, and Smart Lane. This also includes any side streets off of these streets. Residents in these areas are encouraged to collect water as they see fit to prepare for this temporary loss of water service.
All residents will be notified in advanced of any planned water services interruptions due to this project. All dates are tentative and subject to change due to weather and any unforeseen circumstances. Please contact Bella Vista POA Water Utility staff for any questions.
