The Bella Vista Village Property Owners Association is continuing their year-long series of special events celebrating their 50th anniversary with the Three Skill Challenge golf tournament on May 30. The tournament will pay special tribute to John Cooper, Sr.
Membership Services Department Manager Connie Willoughby, is heading up a special committee that is organizing several events throughout the year. All events will feature local entertainment and a variety of food trucks with delicious fare, two factors that Willoughby believes help add to an event's success. "People enjoy great food and great music, and we will have those to add to all of our events this year," Willoughby said.
The tournament venue will offer food trucks and live entertainment featuring the Divas on Fire, Big Ones and Earl and Them. Entertainment starts at 4pm.Guest speakers will include Mayor Peter Christie and POA General Manager Tommy Bailey.
The Three Skill Challenge will test participant's skills in driving, chipping and putting. There will be four different age groups in which participants can compete: Junior (16 and under), Adult (17-49), Senior (50-69) and Legend (70 and older). The participant with the highest number of accumulated points will be declared the champion of their age group.
The tournament starts at 2pm and will be held at the Tanyard Creek Practice Center, 10 Nature Trail Lane. Registration is now open to all players; the deadline to register is May 22, 2015.
