Bella Vista Sponsors Fall 2016 ‘White Goods’ Pick Up

The Bella Vista Property Owners Association in conjunction with Republic Services will sponsor a Fall ‘white goods’ pick up from Oct. 3-7.

Residents must call between 8 a.m. and 3 p.m. Monday, Sept. 26, through Thursday, September 29, to schedule a pick up. Collections will not be scheduled outside of the designated timeframe.

‘White goods,’ which consist of washers, dryers, ranges, air conditioners, dehumidifiers, water heaters, dishwashers, refrigerators and freezers, will be collected on the customer’s regularly scheduled trash day. Appliances must be on the street by 6 a.m. on the collection day. Refrigerators and freezers must be empty; they will not be picked up if items are found inside them.

Republic Services will only pick up items that have been scheduled through Bella Vista Village’s Maintenance and Construction Division. To register, call 855-5093. This number will be activated to accept calls on Sept. 26. No telephone calls – to schedule a pick up – will be taken prior to that date. Residents will receive a reference number at the time of registration, which must be clearly visible on the appliance during pick up.

Bella Vista residents are reminded that Republic Services also will collect one bulky item each week. Bulky items consist of household and lawn furniture, electronics and lawn mowers. The bulky item will be picked up during the resident’s regular weekly trash collection. The waste company does not accept tires, batteries, oil or hazardous materials.
