The Best Things to Do in Bella Vista

Looking for your next Ozark getawayโor a reason to love living here even more? Bella Vista is a year-round playground built around lakes, golf, trails, and community. As the steward of these amenities, the Bella Vista Property Owners Association (POA) maintains programs, and elevates nearly everything that makes our corner of Northwest Arkansas so special.
Hereโs how to make the most of it.
Make a Splash on Our 7 Lakes
Seven sparkling lakes mean seven different kinds of days: sunrise paddles, lazy floats, quiet fishing mornings, and family beach time. Bring your kayak, paddleboard, or rod and reel.
Heads up: To use the lakes, you must be a POA member or a guest. Guest passes can be accessed through out member resources department.
Play a Round (or Seven) on Our 7 Golf Courses

Golf is a way of life in Bella Vista. With seven golf courses, players can rotate layouts all week and never repeat the same personality twiceโfrom tree-lined Ozark fairways to open, friendly tracks perfect for a quick nine. POA members enjoy the best rates and advance tee access, plus well-maintained practice facilities, leagues, and lessons. Whether youโre sharpening your short game or chasing a personal best, Bella Vistaโs golf scene delivers.
Pro-Tip: We do have one of the best driving ranges and practice facilities in all Northwest Arkansas. Visit Tanyard Creek Practice Facility and hit the driving range, work on your chipping game, or practice those putts. Itโs also home to a simulator, with an amazing bar to grab a drink and a hot dog.
Ride World-Class Mountain Bike & Greenway Trails
Bella Vista is laced with purpose-built singletrack and scenic greenwaysโflow, tech, and family-friendly connectors that link neighborhoods, parks, and viewpoints. Start with a lakeside cruise, add a bit of dirt, and finish at a trail-adjacent hangout. The POA partners across the community to keep trailheads clean, restrooms stocked, and wayfinding clear, so you can focus on the ride (and the views).
Take Aim at the Gun & Skeet Range
Refine your skills at the POAโs shooting sports complex, featuring pistol and rifle options along with skeet and trap. Certified staff, safety-first culture, and regular programming make it welcoming for beginners and seasoned shooters alike. Ask about POA member pricing, range rules, and intro classes before you go.
Drop In at Our Recreation Centers
From fitness floors and indoor pools to group classes, gyms, and multi-purpose spaces, the recreation centers like the BVRC and Metfield are the heartbeat of active daily life in Bella Vista. Think: early-morning lap swims, mid-day tennis, and evening yoga. Seasonal programs and youth activities mean thereโs always something on the calendar.
Explore the Treehouse Park
Whimsical, nature-immersive, and perfect for families, our treehouse park turns the woods into a playground. Elevated walkways, imaginative play features, and shaded seating make it an easy โyesโ for an afternoon adventure. The POA keeps it safe, tidy, and photo ready.
Eat & Relax at 4 POA Restaurants
Make a day of it and stay for dinner. Four POA-operated restaurants cover the basesโclub-house classics, casual bites after a round, and family-friendly menus after the lake or trails. Rotating specials and patio seating make these neighborhood staples a natural extension of a great day out. If you are wanting brunch, grab some food from the Little Sugar Bistro. If higher end dining is preferred, visit the BV Bar & Grill and our LakePoint Restaurant. We also have Highlands Pub & Grill, which serves amazing pizza and wings.
Raise a Glass at the Gear Garden Beer Garden
Trail-adjacent and vibe-forward, the Gear Garden is Bella Vistaโs beer gardenโperfect for post-ride hangs, sunset toasts, and community meetups, with jazz on Sundayโs near the Blowing Springs cave (during the open seasons). Expect a relaxed atmosphere, picnic-table camaraderie, and frequent pop-ups or live-music evenings. (Insider tip: schedule your ride to end right when the music starts.)
