payments are due on the 21st day of each month or the first
business day after the 21st.
• A $12-late penalty fee is assessed for payments not received
by the Membership Services Department by 4:30 p.m. on the due
date.
• Accounts that remain unpaid from the previous month will
receive a notice of disconnection of water service on the next
month’s water bill.
• Accounts that remain unpaid at the time of the second due date
will have the water service disconnected.
• Once a service order has been issued for disconnection, all
account balances of all properties owned plus all reconnection
fees and penalties must be paid prior to reconnection. Payments
required for re-establishing water service MUST be made at the
Water Department, located at 51 Huntley Lane.
Members also may choose to register for the automatic draft
program. By signing up for this service, your water payment will
be withdrawn from your checking or savings account on the 21st

Services:
1. New water service cost for a new home.
There are two fees that must be paid for each new building
served by the Bella Vista Water System. The amounts of the fees
depend on the plumbing fixtures and water meter size required by
the new construction. The Water Capital Buy-in Fee is $3,720,
which goes toward improving the water system to meet the needs
caused by growth. The Water Tap Fee is $2,152 for an average 5/8
x 3/4-inch meter. Larger meter sizes cost more because they can
exert a greater demand to the water system. At the same time
there will be a $635 for a stump dump fee. The total amount due
is $6,857 plus taxes (195.09) and a $75 water deposit.
2. Installation process for new water service.
There are many steps needed to completely process a new water
service application. After the fees are paid, the Arkansas
Department of Health requires an approved sewage disposal plan
and written documentation that the building’s service line and
plumbing were inspected by a certified local plumbing inspector
and was found to be in substantial compliance with the State
Plumbing Code.
Explanation of Water
Rates
There has been some concern expressed about why
Bella Vista Village’s water rates are higher than surrounding
areas, and there are many reasons why Bella Vista’s water
customers pay more.
