The Highlands Golf Course opened for play in 1990. The course is
definitely a test of shot making ability. Carved out of Bella
Vista's rolling terrain, the golf course offers beautiful views
and bountiful trees, leading to many lost balls. The Highlands
is deceptively "short". The No. 1 tees are 6, 760 yards, and the
No. 2 tees are 6,140 yards.
The slope ratings are 128 from the No. 1 tees and 125 from the
No. 2 tees. The No. 3 tees course rating for women is 71.4.
Meanwhile, the slope rating is 132 and the yardage is 5,381. The
course’s No. 4 tees provide a challenge for all skill levels.
The No. 4 tees measure 4,736 yards with a course rating of 63.6
and 108 for men and 67.5 and 124 for women. The course is
serviced by the Highlands driving range, just outside the golf
shop's front door. For more information, please call 855-8150.
The course’s starting formats are varied and will include
regular (starting play from the first tee), wave (starting play
from the first or tenth tee), and shotgun (starting play from a
designated tee). Driving range hours are typically from one-half
hour before the day's first tee time to one-hour before dusk.
